The old guy was George Adamson so it was probably the Cora reserve which although being a reserve, the lions would live, breed and hunt in absolute freedom. Though used to human contact it would be difficult to find lions anywhere on the safari trail that aren't used to humans. I have years of experience in this, more so than you and I would challenge this zoologist mate of yours to examine the facts properly before coming out with such an ill judged remark.
