For example, I protect the Iraq/Turkish border from Kurds but I can't protect my own borders from illegal immigrants. WTF? As for Iraq, is Saddam harbored terrorism. We got rid of him, why are we still there? As for the Oil rigs, our soliders are protecting them for the European nations. Europe is taking the oil we captured (Food for Oil Program).

LBJ gave us a shitty "gulf of tonkin" resolution based on misleading info about an 'attack' (can't believe all the congressmen believed that crap w/o proof it happened). We haven't even had the balls to declare war anymore, esp. with the stupid War Powers Act, which is more of a trap than a way to hold the pres. accountable.

Jul 16, 2008 - Ron Paul will only send us to war when it's absolutely necessary. No preemptive invasions of Iraq or Syria or Iran or N. Korea. No excessive aid to dictatorial regimes while we claim to be spreading "freedom." We have to be consistent! I say we protest and stop giving aid to foreign nations (even if they are our allies) until they become republics, not dictatorships. Who knows how these dictators are using all the money. For all we know, Musharraf could be buying a bunch of new houses.

This War on Terror must end, at least at its current state. It's time to go back to regular counterterrorism, not bombing random nations in the Middle East and expanding our empire. The War on Terror is a failure. Counterterrorism and covert ops works. Military intervention does not.
