Jul 7, 2008 - OMG! Same here! There was some really promising storms and tornadoes but all we got was rain!!!!! This is sooooooooooooooo anoying! This is a brilliant footage. Sad for me though, I don't live anywhere near ANY tornaodes. I am very interested and have never seen a real one before. I only just heard about it on the BBC news. So I thought I'd check out if anyone had got any videos of it! Fantastic footage! I wish I could have been there.

Jul 7, 2008 - This is the second tornado I have seen, with the first being in just about the exact same spot, 17 years ago one day earlier! I was chasing this storm for about 45 minutes before this. I drove too close to the rain shield, so I turned around and headed back south out of the rain. I only travelled about 30 seconds then pulled over again. As soon as I stopped, I could see this strange cone of dirt coming off the ground in the distance. I sure sound excited! LOL

Jul 7, 2008 - I knew that cloud yesterday in Calgary was goign to get some action out of it at some point - it looked pretty nasty. I told my hubby that it was a supercell and he told me to stop dreaming. Happy you were safe and that there were no reported injurys.

Jul 8, 2008 - I'm not GCM but GoodCalgaryWife. Where do you get off with the "Drama Queen" comment? You got videos of bigger tornadoes? It may not have been a big tornado but GCM has been stormchasing (locally) for a long time and it has been 17 YEARS since he got his last one on a medium. It wasn't the size that got him excited - it was the fact that it was there. After 17 YEARS, it was finally there!!!! It had NOTHING to do with the size.
