Noraboa polo terceiro "A"

May 16, 2008 - this video has a special place for me since it is about the great poet Rosalia de Castro and one of her poem (Iguess) as a song... she is doing it beautifully along with that wonderful piano..

May 16, 2008 - Hi, Nirvana. Thank you for your comment. Today there was a wonderful Galician culture show. This is Rosalía's most famous poem. It is rather mysterious and people have always wondered whar the black shadow in the title refers to. In my opinion, the black shadow doesn't refer to a person or to the devil, but rather to the pain that we all suffer through our lives. She says that her shadow always bewilders her... I'm so glad that you like Rosalía. I feel her very close, like I feel you.

May 17, 2008 - I know this poem, when you first introduced me to her I was checking online, so I definetely think that darkness is her companion and she idolizes it along with humbling herself throughout the poem, and she is surprised of the beauty of darkness cause nothing surprises her other than that...I guess she was longing for love, and she found it in darkness... if that makes sense :) in my opinion...

May 17, 2008 - That's very sharp, Nirva, very intelligent. A longing for love in the beauty of darkness. Very poetic. You know, the verse that baffles me is when she says that the shadow mocks her. It somehow seems out of place, but it makes the poem more original and intriguing.
