Play along in unison or duet. Arranged by fluteler from the composer's 1724 edition. The music repeats three times, playing faster each time. Tempos: 156, 168, 180 and 192 beats per minute. There are four books of duets by Boismortier in this Performers Facsimile set. The music is in the old French violin clef. This clef uses the treble clef sign, but it puts the notes on the lines that would be used if the music were in the bass clef and 2 octaves lower. If you play a trombone, you could play directly from the book and be in tune with this recording. Source of these books is Broude Brothers. While their images are copyright and cannot be reproduced, possession of the books gives a person proof of the pre-1925 publication date. This then lets one hand-copy the music into Finale PM without violating anybody's copyright, and publish freely.
