CHEN: Nepalese police stop a group of blindfolded Tibetans from protesting in Kathmandu against the Chinese crackdown in their homeland. STORY: Here's more news on Nepalese Tibetans. Once again Nepalese authorities stopped local Tibetans from holding their almost-daily pro-Tibetan demonstration in the capital Kathmandu. Chinese communist officials has been open about pressuring Nepal's government to stop the protests. The Tibetans prayed and blindfolded themselves to reflect the world's ignorance of their plight as they marched to their regular protest site outside the Chinese embassy and UN House in Kathmandu. The protests began March 10 with the Chinese communist crackdown in Tibet. The Tibetans in Nepal have been calling for the media to be allowed into Tibet and for the Chinese Communist Party to extend immediate medical assistance to injured Tibetans. The protests have increased since the Olympic Torch run went through Tibet.
