May 24, 2008 - It's more than a dislike. People have prejudices and there are plenty of cases where southeners have been discriminated against. A few decades ago there were even shops in the north that had signs with 'no dogs or southeners allowed' written on the door. It should be taken seriously and not just dismissed, otherwise nothing will ever change.

May 24, 2008 - The rubbish problem has been allowed to persist yes, but this is due to corrupt politicians and the Neapolitan mafia not the regular people of Naples. They do care about the city and are very frustrated at the current situation. If you want to understand the problems of Naples better watch the film 'Gomorra'. It has been featured at the Cannes film festival this week and has gone down very well.

May 24, 2008 - Italians in the north having a dislike for Italians in the south doesn't really count as racism. Also does nobody who runs the city of naples have the power to get the city cleaned up, both physically and politically? Is this not a problem that is continually allowed to persist? Doesn't look like anyone cares including the Neapolitans.
