-aria "Fermati o barbaro" (anna) at the end of the first part -recitativo "anzi, perche non soffra"(nabucco -aria "fermati o barbaro" (ismaele) from the second part, just beore the death of ismaele, murdered by Nabucco. both are declaimed against Nabucco, before an important event in the oratorio. Which one do you prefer? personally, I think that virginie pochon is more convincing. Maybe it's because of her sound force and because of the da capo(ismaele sings only the first part of the aria) which add strong elements (big intervals which climb in the high register) virginie pochon (anna) philippe jaroussky (ismaele) raimonds spogis (nabucco) ambronay 1999
