From the Mt Cotton / Thorneside area i decided that getting hail dents in my new Delica wasn't a particularly tempting idea.. So i thought it might be a good idea to strap down to Wellington Point Pier and get a view of the approaching storm from a Moreton Bay Perspective.. At this stage i think the storm was gradually starting to dissipate.. or at least the western flank seemed to be.. Nevertheless.. the view of the storm going across Stradbroke Island was beautiful.. Frequent Cloud to Ground lightning strikes were visible over the water and the greens and greys were surreal to watch.. A crisp temperature drop was also noticeable as the outflow part of the storm passed close by. All in all.. a nice surprising day.
