I learned this progression from the jazz pianist Dickie Durham, who was a family friend. Of course here we play it more like a rock piece than jazz. The original track is a long-ago jam featuring myself (Trace DeHaven), Andy Tulka on guitar, and Herb Hoylst on drums. Recorded in Newark, DE in 1981 with just one microphone. Andy's guitar is the more prominent one, mine is more in the background. I'm not sure if Charlie Parker really wrote this progression. Can anyone enlighten me?
