May 21, 2008 - man i love this dude....terry was a beast and one of my favorite fighters of the early to mid 90's

May 31, 2008 - Norris was one of the most exciting fighters, win or lose. Donald Curry was a very skilled fighter who just quite didn't hit hard enough, have a hard enough chin, or enough stamina at times.

Jun 7, 2008 - Thanks for the post. I used to have the fight, but my wife taped a soap opera over it!

Jun 21, 2008 - donalds problem was he had no heart once hurt, he quit in his first loss and he quit in this fight, he didn't even attempt to get up

Jul 1, 2008 - Curry was never the same after the beating he took from Lloyd Honeyghan in 1986. Before that fight he was virually unbeatable and was actually caught looking past Honeyghan to a multi-million dollar fight with Marvin Hagler. Most people diagree with me but I really think that he would have had a good chance at beating Hagler because of his boxing skills. I could have seen him decisioning Hagler. Thanks for uploading this fight from the early 90s.

Jul 2, 2008 - I agree, the way Hagler looked in Leonard fight. That was Dons best chance because Hagler looked old, he fought old, so Don would have outworked him. He had his chance tho I saw Clancy try coaxing Donald into taking the fight and you could see Don got cold feet like he really didn't want to take it. That's how leonard was for a years and years. He wouldnt take that fight until way later watching Marvin falling apart in his fights. People will say Im full O' shit but Im not, they are

Jul 2, 2008 - I agree with also. Lloyd was unbeatable that night. I could tell by the way Lloyd was landing that nothing could stand up to him. Lloyd was the best welter, superwelter, and middleweight that night. Curry was washed up in the Norris fight. He still had a little left by the way he was fighting back but you could tell the defeats by Lloyd and McCallum took the life from him. That's okay though because he had a great career from 1983-1985. People thought it would never end. RIP Don Curry

Jul 2, 2008 - Donald did not quit in his first fight. It was stopped on cuts. He was butted by Lloyd who fights with a shaved head. Lloyd was trouncing him anyways so it was good in a way they stopped it on cuts to save Donald from taking more of a beating. It may have saved his life and probably prolonged his career. The McCallum knockout was better because he ended the fight all at once so Donald didnt have to take a Lloyd Honeyghan type beating before it was stopped.

Jul 3, 2008 - DOn Curry lost control of his weight. He became washed-up after that.

Jul 19, 2008 - Don Curry was one of my favourite fighters of all time...but did he dissappoint me with his bad life style and indiscipline...DC is painful to watch, a master boxer that took things for granted!
