I agree people should make their own decisions. I even agree that "civil unions" would be a convenient compromise if it wasn't unconstitutional (see Brown v. Board of Education, 1954)

How is anyone meant to know what God is thinking? I doubt his deciples were told EVERY SINGLE THING that came from Gods mind. The bible tells us that we shouldnt do alot of things, one, from what I have heard from a christain friend, is that one is not allowed to wear cotton. Many o fthe meanings had more in common with Rumi and Kahil Gibrans wide open metaphors than definite laws.
