Cop harasses RV owner on street in Venice following an erroneous complaint that the engine was running too long by an irate neighbor - the cop states that this RV license plate was the one given - but what the cop didn't know was that it was not this RV that had been running it's engine, but an RV at the end of the block. This was a set-up - luckily there was a camera handy and it was caught on tape!!!

Jun 26, 2008 - Thank you for your humble opinion - yes, wasn't he a nice cop and so understanding - of course, he was on camera and if he behaved in any other way but politely pleasant he could be subject to disciplinary action - by the way, what makes you think I don't have a house - you extremely interesting person! God Bless YOU!

Jul 6, 2008 - Wow...good job. You wasted the time of these polite police officers when they could be saving others' lives. You proved nothing with this video. They were completely understanding and just trying to follow the law, while you created something out of nothing. Just my opinion. Pick your battles wisely.

Jul 9, 2008 - Thank you for sharing your thoughts. However, I was not the person who was (a) running their engine (which is why the police were called in the first place and (b) I was not the person who called the police (to harass me). Had you been there you may have seen a totally different perspective. Yes, of course, it's a waste of time, but I was not the person responsible for that - and I'm just as unhappy about it as you! As for the officer's politeness, well, that's because he was on camera - DUH!

Jul 18, 2008 - LOL, WOW. Don't you have a drive way or a garage you can keep your car or whatever that you have?

Jul 19, 2008 - Thank you for your interest and the answer is "no" we don't have a driveway or garage. The RV in question is used as an outreach vehicle for a charity and the big issue here is that RVs are not welcome on the streets of Venice because some residents resent the fact that people who can't afford the high rents in Venice are living in their vehicles. Venice is being gentrified by developers and realtors, forcing rents up and people out of their homes. The police are used to harass and intimidate.
