May 20, 2008 - this is a K5LA. 1797, the other F59, also has a K5LA, but it is tuned like the K3 it used to have. if u watch videos of amtraks F59s that lead the cascades, pacific surfliner or other vids, their horns sound similar to 1755s horn in good condition. F59PHI K5s get a distinct sound because they are usually mounted behind the exhaust, which lets alot of crap build up in them which causes the wail, and apparently 55s horn has too much crap in it and has gone sick.
