Im trying to write a twisted script of a darker version to the sleeping beauty story. The basic plot is this.... there is a kingdom, in turmoil, there crops are dying and the queen is sick. Two princesses live within the palace, Princess Morgan, 16, and Princess Aurora, 14. Princess Morgan meets a handsome prince, a guest to the castle, They fall in love but unknown to them both, he has been sent to a ceremony that will betrove him to the young Princess Aurora. Morgan flies into jelousy, as she is told she will be married instead to another prince...a prince she despises. The Princess Aurora is very much the favorite at court, as she is beatiful and fair, where as Morgan is darker and holds a likeness to her father. As Jelousy gets the better of her she seeks out a witch to help her overcome her sister and gain the man she loves... The witch gives her a spell and marks her skin with a bruise of magical qualities....When her family find out they instantly draw the wrong conclusions, that she is the reason for the bad crops and her mothers sickness...She is banished from the kingdom and forced to seek refuge at the witch's castle...the home of all the slaves of dark magic...and all dark creatures such as goblins and warlocks... She watches a magical fire that lets her see all the happenings of her home...and as she see's her sister grow into so much beauty, and her Prince falling in love with her, her anger and frustration gets worse, She seeks her old friend, the witch who gave her the spell, and asks for a higher power, a power to curse her family...her sister.... The witch gives her the spell and Morgan becomes the Malefocent. The witch with the highest of force, the most power, and she sets off to curse her sister...a curse involving a spinning wheel and death. The story ufolds like the usual fairytale but unlike the original, Morgan pursues the love of the prince through out. She eventually is turned away, her magic is taken from her when her curse is broken by true loves kiss, and she is forced to walk the world alone, for the rest ofr her days. I hope its a sad story that will make people rethink the fairytale we are all told. Of course this is just my version....but i hope you like it. Please do leave comments. xxx
