I'm a 22 year old female drummer from good old Birmingham, UK! I have been drumming now for about 7yrs on and off and am trying to get back into my playing like i used to, i have really neglected it for the past few years, it's about time to get my shit together and start playing properly again i think! My main influences include Thomas Lang, Johnny Rabb, Daniel Adair, Jojo Mayer, Buddy Rich, Steve Gadd, Dave Weckl and John Bonham. I now play a Roland TD-12 electronic drum kit, this kit is amazing and great for practicing, recording and gigging. No more kit set-ups, micing up, sound checking and mixing down which used to take alot of time and hassel to do... now i just fold this baby up, plug in the jack leads at the back of the module and play... Job done! For those of you interested how i got this audio recording... well, I just a mini jack to jack with a 1/4 jack connector, plug it into the input of the TD12 module, i then get a level using the input controller level, i then choose the kit i want to use and use the on board mixer of the TD-12 to mix the drums to the track! I then take 2 mono jack adaptors with a phono input and plug them in L&R as a stereo output using the master outputs from the back of the module, i then use a phono to a stereo mini jack lead a plug into my minidisc recorder and press record... whatever goes through the module gets recorded onto minidisc! How easy and simple can this be?!?!
