Angelo Vullo, Sin da bambino ha sempre amato disegnare. E' stato influenzato dalle opere di pitture sacre nel collegio dove ha studiato, ma sopratutto da un pittore che alla metà degli anni 50 ha dipinto le pareti della chiesa Matrice di Favara. Quelle pareti che prima erano fredde e di colore bianco, diventavano con la sua opera, calde e di colore smagliante. Ha iniziato a studiare la pittura nel 1985 all'età di 40 anni da autodidatta. Ha fatto un corso di disegno libero e pittura in Darmstadt dove ha preso un diploma ma, essendo soprattutto un autodidatta, ha imparato osservando i grandi capolavori dell'arte, con la visita ai Musei ma anche dalla stessa natura. Per apprendere meglio, seguendo i consigli dei grandi Maestri, ha copiato quadri di Rembrandt "Geremia", "S.Paolo in cella" ecc... da F.Lemoyne "Venus e Adonis", Canaletto "Venezia Canal Grande" W. van de Velde "Porto di Amsterdam" e tanti altri. Oggi la sua pittura è un po' più libera, un neo impressiomacchiaiolo come la chiama l'autore "Sonnenhof bei Sölligen", Wilde Blumen,Vier Sonnenblumen,Sicilia,Giardino Botanico,Sunday,ecc..". ******************************************** Angelo Vullo Since his childhood, he loved to draw. He's been influenced by some Holy Art works of the boarding school where he studied, but above all, from the painter that, in middle '50, frescoed the walls of the church Matrice of Favara. The walls that were once cold and white, became warm and full of dazzling colours thanks to that frescoes. He has started studying painting in 1985 at the age of 40, as self-taught man. He made a course of freehand drawing and picture in Darmstad where he took a certificate but, being a self-taught man, he learnt watching the great masterpieces of art, visiting Museums and from Nature. For a better learning, following the advice of great Teachers, he has copied some Rembrandt's works as "Jeremy", "Saint Paul in jail" and others, F.Lemoyne's "Venus et Adonis", Canaletto's "Venice Canal Grande", W.van der Velde "Amsterdam Port" and many others. Today his picture is more free, a "new impressionism macchiaiolo", as the author calls it "Sonnenhof bei Sölligen", Wilde Blumen,Vier Sonnenblumen,Sicilia,Sunday, etc..
